This 14-day, 2,300+ km Royal Rajasthan Motorcycle Tour is the definitive adventure for anyone seeking a blend of cultural immersion and high-quality touring. Starting in the capital of New Delhi, we navigate the historical Golden Triangle before plunging into the vibrant heart of the Thar Desert and the rugged trails of the Aravalli Range. You will be riding the iconic Royal Enfield, experiencing everything from sweeping national highways (NH) to winding mountain roads, ensuring an authentic and challenging India bike adventure.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
Arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) where you will be warmly greeted and transferred to your hotel. After settling in, the evening is free for leisure, perhaps a preliminary briefing, bike inspection, and a taste of authentic North Indian cuisine to prepare you for the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Delhi to Mandawa (260 Kms)
Our first exhilarating ride heads straight into the heart of the Shekhawati region. Mandawa, known as the "Open Art Gallery" of Rajasthan, awaits. The afternoon is dedicated to exploring the magnificent havelis (traditional mansions) adorned with vibrant, century-old frescoes depicting mythological tales and colonial-era life. A gentle introduction to Rajasthan's artistic soul.
Day 3: Mandawa to Pushkar (240 Kms)
A scenic ride across changing desert terrain brings us to the sacred town of Pushkar, famous for its holy lake and the unique Brahma Temple (one of the very few in the world). Check in and then wander through the bustling narrow market lanes, soak in the spiritual atmosphere by the ghats, and witness the evening aarti (prayer ritual). Experience the tranquil spirituality of a pilgrim town.
Day 4: Pushkar to Jodhpur (190 Kms)
Today's ride takes us deeper into the desert landscape before arriving at the magnificent city of Jodhpur. Known as the "Blue City" due to the indigo-painted houses surrounding the fort. In the evening, explore the vibrant Sardar Market and the iconic Clock Tower, immersing yourself in the sights and sounds of this historic trading hub. The desert beckons with its signature indigo charm.
Day 5: Jodhpur to Ghanerao (150 Kms)
We leave the bustling city for the quiet, rural charm of Ghanerao. This picturesque village is nestled in the Aravalli Hills, close to the wildlife reserve. Our stay will be at a heritage property, the Ghanerao Rawla, a stunning 17th-century fort. Enjoy a quiet evening, learning about local culture and savoring traditional Rajasthani village life. The perfect escape from the city lights.
Day 6: Ghanerao to Udaipur (120 Kms)
A breathtaking, curvy ride through the Aravalli mountain range a true biker's delight! We arrive in Udaipur, the "City of Lakes" and arguably the most romantic city in Rajasthan. Check into your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure, perhaps a walk along Lake Pichola with the stunning City Palace illuminated against the sunset. The mountains give way to shimmering waters and romance.
Day 7: Udaipur (Sightseeing)
Trade your bike for a boat today! The day is dedicated to sightseeing. Visit the towering City Palace Complex, explore the beautiful island gardens of Saheliyon-ki-Bari, and drive to the Monsoon Palace (Sajjangarh Fort) for a panoramic view of the city and lakes. Conclude the day with a memorable sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola. Udaipur is a masterpiece of white marble and tranquil waters.
Day 8: Udaipur to Chittorgarh (120 Kms)
Today we ride to Chittorgarh, home to the largest fort in India, Chittorgarh Fort (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). This massive citadel is a poignant symbol of Rajput pride, courage, and sacrifice. Spend the afternoon exploring its sprawling complex, including the Vijay Stambh (Victory Tower) and Kirti Stambh (Tower of Fame). A powerful ride to an epic monument of history and heroism.
Day 9: Chittorgarh to Bundi (155 Kms)
A captivating ride to the lesser-known but historically rich town of Bundi. Known for its incredible stepwells (baoris) and the ornate, crumbling beauty of the Taragarh Fort and Bundi Palace. The palace is famous for its stunning blue frescoes, offering a glimpse into a time gone by. Discover the hidden gems and vibrant murals of a forgotten royal seat.
Day 10: Bundi to Ranthambore (130 Kms)
We head east towards Ranthambore, famous for the Ranthambore National Park, one of the best places in India to spot the majestic Bengal Tiger in the wild. Check into your hotel and prepare for an early morning safari. The rest of the afternoon is for rest and preparation for the jungle adventure. Park your bike and prepare to meet the King of the Jungle!
Day 11: Ranthambore to Bharatpur/Agra (240 Kms)
Ride from the Tiger Reserves to the Mughal Empire's capital. A rewarding highway cruise across the plains with an optional, tranquil break near the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary (Keoladeo Ghana National Park).
Day 12: Taj Mahal Visit & to Delhi (200 Kms)
Witness the majestic Taj Mahal at sunrise for an unforgettable view, followed by a visit to the imposing Agra Fort. The final afternoon ride completes the loop, taking you back to Delhi. Farewell Dinner and bike handover upon arrival.
Day 13: Delhi Sightseeing
Enjoy a free day for relaxation and independent exploration, or opt for a guided tour of Old and New Delhi's contrasting sites. Explore the ancient lanes of Old Delhi (Jama Masjid, Red Fort) and the monumental avenues of New Delhi (India Gate, Parliament House).
Day 14: Departure
Enjoy a final breakfast together. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) for your onward journey, carrying with you the thrill of the ride and the majesty of Rajasthan. Until the next adventure!
